What is it about?
This book is an extension of the Business Model Canvas and the Value Proposition book. It is a book about developing a business model that addresses all areas of organisational functions. It is a book for large organisations primarily who are wanting to revisit their core goals and plans. It is often used to teach business model development at university and students would appreciate this book.
Why should I read it?
If you are familiar with previous work in this space by Osterwalder and colleagues, you will enjoy this book. If you are a student studying innovation, business development and business strategy this is a terrific book to own. If you work in change management for a large company you may find this book very insightful and interesting.
Is it a challenging read?
No but you do need to be in the strategic planning, business redevelopment space to find it valuable. The examples throughout are excellent. It is very targeted at large organisations.
