What is it about?
Growing a Business is an American title that covers all the core pillars of successful small business growth. Rupert Merson covers how to plan growth strategies, what investors may be looking for, risk minimisation and people management needs. The best thing about this book is that Merson is actually an Associate Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at London Business School which means he brings a level of research experience to the table in this book. Having that intersection of research versus application can be invaluable as a growth guide.
Why should I read it?
If you are an entrepreneur and looking to learn all that you possibly can about growing a business then this is a terrific book to add to the collection.
Is it a challenging read?
It can be complex at times because Merson is so detailed in every chapter, however, I think that is the bonus of owning this book. Don’t expect to read it over a weekend, take your time.
