What is it about?
This is a self-help book that challenges the limiting beliefs we often catch ourselves thinking about. Hendricks does a wonderful job exploring the reasons we don’t achieve all we want to achieve and argues that often it’s from our own self-sabotage efforts. There is a podcast interview available about this book at Your Business Bookshelf.
Why should I read it?
If you are afraid of failing or feel like you simply cannot achieve your dreams you need to read this book. The perspective about goal achievement and drive is very different from standard self-help books and this makes it a great addition to any collection of self-help motivational type books. If you struggle with imposter syndrome, The Big Leap is a worthwhile read because it gives an alternate approach to this phenomenon.
Is it a challenging read?
Yes, it requires focus and can be complex at times.
