What is it about?
If you are familiar with Sinek’s earlier works you will enjoy this book. Sinek describes ongoing relationships as an infinite game – one that doesn’t have an end point but rather requires ongoing attention and adaptation. Sinek argues this is important to understand because it keeps relationships alive. He proposes a framework for adopting an infinite mindset and addresses the importance of trust, purpose and resilience to long-term results with others.
Why should I read it?
If you are a supervisor or leader you will benefit from reading this book. It is an excellent leadership perspective, especially if you are in very senior leadership roles. Sinek presents a very different mental model to think about how we foster relationships at work to encourage regular and ongoing focus on the future, instead of achievement of milestones or goals.
Is it a challenging read?
Sinek uses lots of company examples and case studies and this makes this book a very interesting read.
